The Victorian Coalition Government has awarded Clarinox Technologies Pty Ltd of Cheltenham a $17,200 Business Research & Development Voucher to help it develop its innovative wireless software.
The Member for Sandringham, Murray Thompson today congratulated the wireless solutions business for its success in winning a Business R&D Voucher under the Victorian Government’s Innovation Voucher Program.
“Clarinox will use the voucher to work with interns through the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute Interns (AMSI Interns) organisation to test and improve its new functional software product that allows instructions to be coded into embedded wireless systems to enable the ‘Internet of Things, “Mr Thompson said.
“Market demand for wireless electronics is increasing across all industry sectors and as the number of applications and technologies increases so too does the complexity of the design of the wireless electronics ‘inside the box’.
“The Business R&D voucher will help Clarinox close the gap between the design tools available to engineers and what they require to rapidly develop robust and functional wireless electronics.”
Clarinox is among the latest group of Victorian companies to receive a Business R&D Voucher worth up to $25,000 under the Victorian Government’s $5.5 million Innovation Voucher Program.
Minister for Innovation, Louise Asher, said the Innovation Voucher Program was designed to encourage business-to-business and business-to-research collaborations to take advantage of Victoria’s world-class research and development capabilities to explore new ways to improve their productivity and competitiveness.
“The vouchers fund access to specialised R&D solutions to push development projects toward real commercial outcomes,” she said.
“The Innovation Voucher Program has now provided Business R&D Vouchers to more than 150 Victorian companies over two years to help them innovate and take forward their most important projects for the future.
“Recipients of these latest vouchers are working on exciting new products, processes and services with R&D suppliers that will generate ongoing benefits for the companies and contribute to Victorian prosperity.”
Applications for the Innovation Voucher Program are open continuously, enabling businesses to address innovation challenges or opportunities as they arise.
