COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS FOR GRADE SEPARATION WORKS ON THE FRANKSTON LINE The Member for Sandringham, Murray Thompson, recently submitted the following question to the Minister for Public Transport by way of Question on Notice:- “I refer the Minister to the Business Case including the Cost Benefit analysis for grade separation works on the Frankston line and in particular at Mentone and I ask:- (i) Will it include the cost of removal of graffiti from the supports for the elevated solution over the next 50 to 100 years? (ii) Will it include the installation of additional sound proofing for the Kilbreda classrooms adjacent to the rail line? (iii) Will it include the installation of additional sound proofing for those multi-storey residential developments adjacent to the Balcombe Road crossing? (iv) Will it include the installation of additional sound proofing for those single and two storey dwellings on the Eastern and Western sides of the railway line and to the North and South of Balcombe Road for the elevated solution. (v) Will it include the overshadowing impacts of the elevated solution on all business and residents (single, double or multi-storey buildings) adjacent to the rail line?”
